Welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Sidharth Babu. I'm a computer engineer with a passion for building things to help others.
This website mostly serves as a little blog for me to record interesting projects, random things I've learned, and various efforts I undertake!

Previously, I was a student at UT Austin (Hook 'Em) studying ECE and spending my free time building Solar Powered Racecars.

Currently, I'm an ECE Master's student at Carnegie Mellon University. Here, I'm focusing on learning about and building systems for machine learning and
distributed systems. I'm particularly interested in democratizing access to frontier LLM technology, especially via edge inference technologies.

In pursuit of these goals, at CMU I'm working with Dr. Tianqi Chen, and am an active contributor to the various OSS projects within his lab.
Some of the main projects maintained by our group include:

Apache TVM
One of the original machine learning / tensor program compilation frameworks.

MLC-LLM
Framework to compile and serve LLMs, built on top of Apache TVM. Models can be compiled to run on any supported hardware target,
including consumer devices such as smartphones and consumer laptops.

WebLLM
Framework to serve / deploy compiled LLM models within any supported browser.
Models running on WebLLM require no end-user setup, and can be embedded into web apps!
